The Senior Cubs from the 6th Tyrone Scout Group Cookstown completed their community service project in our Eco Garden last Sunday.
They repainted the fence in the garden, planted vegetables in the raised bed, completed some pots around the garden with flowers, painted and filled the bug hotel, dug out and planted a flower bed and completed general tidying of the garden, leaving it ready for another year.
They then took the time to paint the different picnic tables around the school grounds, repaint our ‘Buddy Bench’ and the ‘Mud Kitchen’ for the P1/2/3 classes. All this community service goes towards the Cubs achieving their Chief Scout Badge, which is the highest level of achievement they can reach in the Cub section.
We wish all the Cubs well as they continue to work on the other aspects of the badge and thank them for the work, they completed for us.
