A visit from Fire Officer Marty Corr
6th Mar 2019
- Our Primary 5 pupils enjoyed a visit from the Fire Officer who gave them lots of advice on fire safety and hazards to watch out for.
- Marty was impressed with all the comments and questions he received from our pupils and was full of praise for the level of interest shown.
- He appealed to the pupils to remind parents to test their smoke alarms once a week, replace batteries once a year and have an escape plan & assembly point in the event of a fire.
- Marty also urged us to inform parents of the importance of having a house number visible on gate posts, doors or decorative stones to help the emergency services reach them immediately.
