Our Primary 5 pupils enjoyed a visit from the Fire Officer who gave them lots of advice on fire safety and hazards to watch out for.
Marty was impressed with all the comments and questions he received from our pupils and was full of praise for the level of interest shown.
He appealed to the pupils to remind parents to test their smoke alarms once a week, replace batteries once a year and have an escape plan & assembly point in the event of a fire.
Marty also urged us to inform parents of the importance of having a house number visible on gate posts, doors or decorative stones to help the emergency services reach them immediately.
