Fire Safety Officer's visit to Primary 4/5
14th Nov 2016
- Fire Safety Officer Manus Barry, visited our Primary 4 and 5 classes today to teach us all about fire prevention.
- He reminded us to test our smoke alarms once a week and to change the battery in it once a year.
- We were warned of the dangers of leaving plugs switched on overnight as this is one of the most common reasons for fires to break out.
- We should all have an escape plan in the event of a fire.
- We should try to make it easier for the fire brigade to reach our house in the event of an emergency by making sure the house number is easy to see on a gatepost, especially in the countryside.
