Local dentist Conor Maguire (and father of Matthew P.4), kindly agreed to come along to our P4/5 class today to enhance our understanding of the topic of teeth which we are studying in World Around Us.
Conor’s dental assistant Samantha, accompanied him on his visit and they both delivered a thoroughly enjoyable and informative session.
We invited Conor onto the Hot Seat and “grilled” him about all aspects of dentistry.
We were able to look at and hold all the instruments used by a dentist.
Conor and Samantha gave us great advice on dental hygiene, nutrition & a good diet, the importance of wearing mouth guards and how to properly brush your teeth.
