Radius Biodiversity Project
12th Dec 2022
Peter from ‘Keeping Northern Ireland Beautiful (KNIB)’ met with some of our Eco Council members to survey an area for our new bio-diverse garden. The garden will consist of apple, pear and plum trees and blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and strawberry bushes. KNIB will oversee the planting of our new growing garden, which will also consist of raised bed (for planting strawberries), and a number of homes for small mammals and insects as well as a compost area. Our pupils will also learn how to make bird feeders, and food for bats, butterflies and bees.
We looking forward to working closely with Peter in the new year.
